Where it all began

The first streat® cafe was opened in Belfast in 1999 by husband and wife team Michael and Nikki McQuillan.

Great food and coffee, exceptional customer service and contemporary surroundings has developed the streat® as the best known and most successful café concept to come out of Northern Ireland.

By sharing this concept with like-minded people, we are now looking to replicate our success throughout the UK and Ireland.

Why we are successful

The streat®’s success in Ireland is founded upon our ‘more than a café’ approach. Our franchisees not only develop their business within their streat® cafe, but by introducing outside catering and food delivery they are able to take the streat® to their local community and grow their business beyond their shop front.

Our food, described as ‘food with thought’, is always fresh and healthy from breakfast to bedtime. Deli style hand crafted sandwiches, salads and wraps, juice and smoothies – food for the whole family throughout the whole day.

Having sampled beans from 23 estates the streat have created their own unique blend of coffee. Coffee excellence is a major part of the team training programme at the streat® with several of the streat®’s team members having taken part in the UK Barista championships.

This passion for excellence has resulted in the streat® being the only franchise ever to be awarded the prestigious UK National Training Award. We have also received several regional and national awards for quality of training.

The streat support

We assist you in finding the best location for your café and help you to secure the property. To also allow you to focus on your training we will project manage your café fit-out.

After the launch of your franchise, we will continue to provide you with all the ongoing support you need to build a successful café business. These services include:

Total Franchise Package €34,000

Additional capital expenditure required for Fit out and other set up costs in the range of €109,000 – €188,000

Ongoing Fees:

Management Support Fee 6% of Net Turnover
Marketing Fee 2% of Net Turnover
