High tech summer camps for rocketeers, animators & robot fans
Summer can still be fun for the kids regardless of the weather at ComputerXplorers Dublin South Technology Summer Camps taking place throughout July across South Dublin.
Following the success of last year’s Summer Camps, ComputerXplorers are running their popular technology camps again this summer. Children from age 8 will get to sample a wide range of activities to suit every interest from robotics & programming to designing and building rockets or learning how to use outdoor GPS technology. There is also a whole programme of Digital Creative Arts such as designing apps for android phones, 3D design and creating an animated movie.
Children are promised a unique educational and engaging fun week comprising team building activities and individual project work, using a range of indoor and outdoor technologies & software.
The small hands on camps take place at a variety of venues in Rathfarnham, Dundrum and Loughlinstown throughout July.
Nicola Cosgrave who runs ComputerXplorers Dublin South said: “We have such a variety of activities and a great team of teachers who focus on making learning fun and interactive. The children are so absorbed and engaged by what they are doing that they hardly realise they are learning. It gives them the opportunity to use their imaginations and use the latest software and technology to turn their ideas into reality. They come away with greater confidence around computers, new friends as well as improving their problem solving skills.”
Some feedback from parents of children who attended the 2011 Summer Camp:
“Great camp, something new and different, plus educational. Lovely atmosphere, great teachers. Thanks so much.” Rachel (Finn’s mum)
“Daniel has come home each day with renewed enthusiasm to the computer, he has been proud to show us what he has learnt and to try variations. Thank you for all your hard work and commitment.” Ellen (Daniel’s mum)
